This is done to promote the spirit of unity, friendship and brotherhood between the halls.   Preparing a schedule for the events is an arduous task, as it has to be ensured that none of the events clashes with each other despite being held simultaneously. The outdoor stage is reserved for cultural events, and Moonshadow 2012 will be having an enthusiastic participation from all the hall residents, in events such as mime, dance and light music.    This will be the second year since the inception of Moonshadow that the hosts, Selaiyur Hall, will not participate ensuring fair play and avoiding controversy. ..   It was only two years ago that Moonshadow was a three-day event, leaving ample time for each event to be conducted smoothly.   However,  the college decided to cut short the duration and bring it down to one day from last year, making it a tight affair. The events have to be completed by noon to allow the much- awaited rock show to take place.    Keeping in mind that this will be the 34th edition of their beloved hall festival, the Selaiyurians want to make it a  grand affair, and for this purpose, Moonshadow will see a band from Bengalur, Final Surrender, take the centre stage. Also, the rock show opened by Chennai’s leading band, Jack Johnnie and Ol’Monk will make a musical platform for the headlining band.  Moreover a jam-packed venue will witness thousands of students being enthralled by a brilliant musical performance.first published:August 30, 2012, 09:29 ISTlast updated:August 30, 2012, 09:29 IST
