MBA grad held for job racket

The Madurai Rural police have nabbed an MBA graduate who was involved in a major job racket by promising students and job aspirants to get teacher postings and admissions in famous engineering and medical colleges.

 He had allegedly cheated them with the help of his father, who was a retired PWD engineer and an estate officer of the Madurai Kamaraj University College.

According to Tirupparankundram police officials,   S Ramkumar of Chekkanurani, near here, had lodged a complaint that one Sivakkumar had cheated him by promising to get admission in famed Thiagarajar College of Engineering at Tirupparankundram and the accused had received ` 5.64 lakh from him for it.

Based on the complaint filed by S Ramkumar of Chekkanurani, the police geared up the investigation process and found a job racket.

Following this, then the police arrested a youth Sivanishanth of Nagamalai Pudukkottai.

 “Sivanishanth was acting as a tout and was bringing the clients to Sivakumar for the job racket. “Based on his confession, we have arrested Sivakumar’s father, a retired government officer who had been working as an estate officer of Madurai Kamaraj University College on the deputation posting from the Public Works Department ,” an official said.

 While the police are searching for Sivakumar, he surrendered before the Madurai District Magistrate Court few days ago. Then the police took him into custody for interrogation.
