Malayali student drowns

NAMAKKAL: A final year MBA student from Kerala, allegedly drowned in a well at Manikattipudur near here on Friday night.Police sources said that the victim V Gokul (24), hailed from Kottayam district in Kerala, was studying in a private college near Velagoundampatti. He was staying in a house at Manikattipudur along with his friends. Gokul was recruited by a private bank in a campus interview held in the college.“Celebrating the placement, he along with his friends consumed liquor on Friday night. When others went inside the house, he chose to sit on the sidewall of the well, talking on his mobile phone. Accidentally, he fell into the well and drowned,” police said.
