Kiran, Botcha to go on joint tour of districts

HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana are likely to undertake joint tour of the districts to review the party’s performance and improve the government’s image among the masses.Both the leaders will take on-the-spot decisions to strengthen the party from the grassroots level during their visits. After taking high command’s permission, the PCC will announce the tour schedule which is likely to commence next month.After completing the tour of his native Vizianagaram district, the PCC president, who is also the transport minister, met the chief minister at the Secretariat on Monday and discussed matters related to the party and government.They also discussed rebel MALs and appointments to nominated posts. ‘’Both the leaders are not in a hurry to take action against Jagan loyalists but want to implement an action plan so that no new member will dare to join the Jagan camp in future. Any action against Jagan loyalists in the party will be taken only after the YSR Congress plenary next month,’’ party sources said.The PCC chioef also discussed appointment of a new PCC executive committee with the chief minister.Meanwhile, the PCC president has decided to complete the Gandhi Bhavan modernisation project as early as possible and to give the PCC office a corporate look. He also wants a multistoreyed building for frontal organisations at Gandhi Bhavan. Satyanarayana said video-conference and teleconference facilities would be provided at the PCC headquarters.DCC offices will also be upgraded on the same lines. PCC president planned to grant Rs 50,000 a month to the DCC offices.Speaking to reporters, the PCC chief said it was not unusual for party workers clashing and the same was the case with the DCC meeting at Kakinada recently.Earlier, minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and former minister Jupally Krishna Rao met the PCC chief.
