Bhopal: Three days after two mobile phone videos challenged Madhya Pradesh police's version that eight fugitive SIMI suspects were killed in an encounter, a newly circulated audio recording has raised further doubts.
The audio recording, purportedly from the police control room, suggests that police personnel on the field were under orders from their superiors to shoot to kill all eight of the SIMI suspects.
"The boss is saying kill them all," a voice could be heard saying in the audio recording. Minutes later, apparently after all the suspects had been gunned down, a voice could be heard gloating, "The game is over, the eight are dead now."
The eight undertrials escaped from the Bhopal Central Jail before Monday dawn by scaling the 32-feet high boundary wall using bedsheets knotted together as a ladder. Hours later they were killed in an encounter with police in a forest land near Acharpura village on the outskirts of Bhopal.

Officials on the field (OOF): Are the five running together?
Control Room (CR): Yes, they are running together.
OOF: Bilkul peechhe nahi hanta hai. Gher ke poora kar do kaam tamam (Do not move back, surround them and kill everyone).
CR: Are they also firing?
OOF: Yes, they are also firing,
CR: surround them and fire back. If they fire we have to fire back. Take your positions in such a way that there is no cross-firing.
OOF: Chouhan Sahab paanch mar gaye hain, paanch ko goli lag gayi hai (Chouhan sir, five of them have been hit by bullets. They are dead now.)
CR: Koi baat nahi nahi hai, shaabaash, hum pahoch rahe hain (Chouhan: No worries, congratulations. We are reaching there.)
OOF: We have surrounded them from the hillock.
CR: Very good. Are all five dead?
OOF: Yes, all of them are dead.
CR: Good. Go for the remaining three as well. Kill them (Abuses).
OOF: Send 2 to 3 ambulances here.
CR: Don’t worry, we have already sent for the ambulances. Just kill them. Agar nahi mar rahe hain toh maar daalo (Abuses). (Just kill them)
OOF: Saab is saying kill all of them. (Boss is saying to kill them all)
CR: Five people are already dead, just ensure all of them got killed.
OOF: Seth pe toh aisi adhikari honi chahiye yaar. (We should really have a boss like this)
CR: People will remember Bhopal police for the next 10 years to come now.
OOF: They are saying to keep at least one of them alive, what if we kill all?
CR: No, no. They are firing also... (Disturbance) ... we can say we found weapons.
OOF: Sir, we have killed all the eight.
CR: (Police officials applaud in unison) Yeahhh !!!
OOF: DSP Crime has just informed all eight are dead. Big achievement. Congratulations.
OOF: We have surrounded them. They are lying here in the middle.
CR: (Laughter)
OOF: Jo baaki force pahoch rahi hai unko upar aane ki zarurat nahi hai, bata do agar kuchh aur farzi operation karana padhey toh. (All the forces who are reaching now they don’t have to reach here at the top if we have to carry out any more forged operation)
CR: Now, I will watch the news, media would not have reached the scene by now, I am sure.
