ANDIPATTI: Actor Khushboo, who on Wednesday went to surrender before the Andipatti Judicial Magistrate in connection with a poll code violation case against her, had to return as the magistrate was on leave, owing to the local body polls. Subsequently, when she approached the Periyakulam Court, she was told that the magistrate there, too, was on leave.Khushboo was charged with travelling in a convoy with the number of vehicles exceeding the permitted limit, while campaigning for the DMK candidate at Andipatti and Palanichettipatti in Theni district, during the Assembly polls.The actor subsequently filed a plea before the Madurai Bench of the High Court, seeking anticipatory bail. The court admitted her plea and directed her to surrender before the Andipatti JM court to obtain bail.Accompanied by DMK functionaries, Khushboo arrived at the court at 10.30 am, where she was told that the magistrate, Sundarayya, was on leave. Her lawyers then advised her to surrender before the Periyakulam JM court and obtain bail. However, when she went to the Periyakulam court, she was told that magistrate Shankar was also on leave. She then left for Chennai around 12.30 pm Khushboo said she would return to Andipatti on a later date to surrender.
