KOCHI: The Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority (RAK FTZ) is setting up a platform for businessmen and entrepreneurs in the state to set up business in the UAE, said Bissoon Surnam, Head - India Liaison Office of RAK FTZ.He was speaking at an interactive session between Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority (RAK FTZ), Government of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, and the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) here on Tuesday.Bissoon said the meet would be a unique opportunity for businessmen in the state, particularly the entrepreneurs to chalk out overseas expansion of their businesses. “We are setting up a platform for businessmen and entrepreneurs to set up business in the UAE. The procedures are simple, fast, transparent and cost-effective,” he said.RAK FTZ has developed an array of first-class business centres across the UAE, which offer a wide range of business solutions to meet the ever-growing business demands, said Jithu Alex Peter, Business Investment Consultant. The officials also explained the process to set up new ventures in the UAE. With an initial investment of Rs 2.5 lakh, businessmen from here can set up office in UAE.The three-day interactive sessions which include a series of seminars and presentations along with business meets, is organised in association with the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry.KCCI secretary Savio Mathew said the Kerala Chamber has always welcomed initiatives that help entrepreneurs. The sessions will end on Thursday.
