Supreme Court Justice Madan B Lokur on Saturday inaugurated the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) centre, first in Jharkhand, in a local court premises here.
Accompanied by Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court R Banumati, Justice Lokur, who is on a three-day tour to the state, attended the inaugural function of the ADR centre as a Special Guest.
ADR was based on the logic of disposal of cases through mutual compromise between the concerned parties.
He also visited Child Reform Centre at Ghaghidih Central Jail, where officials from civil administration were also present.
Among other dignitaries, Justice RR Prasad, Justice PP Bhatt, Justice DN Upadhayaya all from Jharkhand High Court and other Judicial officers from Civil Court have attended the function.
