Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday said justice prevailed as the court sentenced to death the four convicts in the December 16, 2012, gangrape case.
"I welcome the judgment pronounced by the fast track court today (Friday) on the December 16 gangrape case and justice has prevailed," Dikshit said in a statement.
She added the fast track court has delivered the justice expeditiously.
"Hope the judgment would prove to be a deterrent," she added.
