Jeep falls off bridge, two die

PATNAGARH (Balangir): Two persons died, while three sustained serious injuries after a jeep in which they were travelling fell off a bridge on Patnagarh-Khaprakhol Road near Bileisathi village under Patnagarh police limits in the wee hours of Wednesday.The deceased have been identified as Hadu Kharsel (27) and Asharam Kharsel (25) of Lathore village in Khaprakhol block while the injured Bharat Bhue (40), Raseswari Barik (30), Gopalbandhu Barik (15) have been admitted to Patnagarh Sub-division Hospital.The victims were reportedly returning from Patnagarh Hospital after admitting a relative late on Tuesday. The driver of the vehicle managed to flee.  Police have registered a case and sent the bodies for autopsy.
