Hyderabad: Apart from all the special arrangements that the Hyderabad administration has done to welcome Ivanka Trump to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, the city’s bangle-makers have taken it on themselves to make the US First Daughter feel special.
A day ahead of her visit, shopkeepers in Hyderabad’s Charminar area have managed to grab eyeballs with their special “Ivanka bangles” that have Ivanka’s name or India and US flags on the ornaments.
Hyderabad’s Laad Bazaar or Choodi bazaar in the old city has put on display especially designed colourful bangles themed on the "India-US friendship".
Mohammad Anwar of Khaja Bangle Store, who created these bangles, said, " We heard Ivanka Trump, along with PM Narendra Modi will visit the city. We especially made these bangles to give them as a gift to Ivanka Trump. It took us 45 days to make these bangles. We hope we can present them to her."
The 400-old market is popular for its traditional bangles since the Qutub Shahis and Nizam era.
