In-laws visit Raj before arrest, extend support
In-laws extend good wishes to Raj in his campaign for 'Marathi manus'.

Mumbai: Hours before his arrest, Raj Thackeray's father-in-law and noted Marathi drama director Mohan Wagh met the MNS chief and extended moral support to the leader. Raj was arrested later for inciting violence.

Mohan Wagh also discussed the current political situation in Maharashtra with Raj and extended good wishes to him in his campaign in support of 'Marathi manus'.

"The response which Raj is getting from the people is indicative of who is the true representative of Marathi manus (Marathi people)," he said, talking to reporters before meeting him at his Dadar residence.

"We welcome his role in supporting Maharashtrian people and the response shows he has already become a leader of Maharashtrians," he added.

Thackeray's mother-in-law Padma Wagh had said on Tuesday that since Raj is fighting for the Marathi people, they were ready to face any consequence.

But she voiced concern about Raj's son Amit, who is going to appear for the 10th standard examination next month. "I am worried about Amit because of Raj's likely arrest as he has to appear for SSC exams next month," she said.

"My grandchildren are too young to understand what is going on but there is tension in the house. My daughter Sharmila (Raj's wife) is in touch with me over phone," Padma said.
