Information Retrieval at IISc begins

BANGALORE: The ‘Information Retrieval Summer School 2011’ will be held from June 20 to 25 at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) here, with support from the Computer Science and Automation (CSA) Department.The theme of this year’s summer school is ‘Information Retrieval’. The summer school has been organised by Yahoo!, India Research and Development in partnership with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).Information retrieval is the fundamental science behind the internet, how to retrieve the information from different websites across the internet.
