Guangzhou: India's Rashid Khan carded four-under 68 in the second round to place third in the men's individual golf at the Asian Games here on Thursday.
Rashid, who carded one-under 71 in the first round, struck seven birdies and dropped three shots on Thursday for a total of five-under 139. He is three strokes behind leader Miguel Luis Tabuena of Philippines and two behind South Korean Meen Whee Kim.
Tabuena and Kim also stroked four-under 68 for the day.
Another Indian, Abhinav Lohan carded two-under 70 for a total of one-over 145.
Rahul Bajaj was at 45th place with a total of seven-over 79, dropping as many as seven bogeys.
Abhijit Singh Chadha, who was disqualified on Wednesday, carded one-under 71 for the day.
In the team event, India were lying at third place with a total of four-over 436. South Korea (14-under 418) are way ahead at the top, followed by Philippines at three-under 435.
In women's individual second round, two Indian golfers (Shreya Ghei and Vani Kapoor Sanjeev) were at tied 22nd place with a total of 17-over 161. Shreya carded nine-over 81 while Vani carded seven-over 79 Thursday.
Gurbani Singh was further down at 25th position with a total of 18-over 162.
South Korean Hyun Soo Kim is leading (four-under 140), followed by China's Jing Yan (144).
In the women's team event, India are at 9th place with a two-day total of 33-over 321.
