A health and nutrition forum was inaugurated by Director of Medical Education Dr Vamsadhara at the Guru Shree Shantivijai Jain College for Women recently.
Addressing the student gathering, Dr Vamsadhara stressed the importance of immunity to safeguard oneself from infections. She advised the students on eating right, thus differentiating between the extremes of dieting and unhealthy eating .
Around 200 students attended the health forum. One the same day, the college also celebrated the Madras Week, as historian Dr Chitra Madhavan narrated the history of ancient temples in Chennai.
