Who says that Mahatma Gandhi is no longer a national trend? He is at least trending on the social media. Even 144 years after his birth and 65 years after his death, Mahatma still inspires the whole nation and the people remember him at least on October 2 (his birth day) and on January 30 (the day he was assassinated).
The advent of the social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook has made the paying homage to the father of the nation much easier. Gandhi Jayanti is a top trend on twitter, today.
Who is who of the country to common people have been paying homage to Mahatma through Twitter since early morning. Infosys co-founder and Aadhar Chairman Nandan Nilekani was one of the first to use his twitter handle to pay his respects.
