Four injured in godown explosion

At least four persons including a woman suffered minor burn injuries in an explosion that took place at a mirror godown in Balaiahwada under Shahinayatgunj police station limits on Monday.

Tension gripped the area as the explosion created panic among residents.  In the accident, mirror materials were damaged at the godown. At around 12.30 pm on Monday,  when two persons were chopping woods for firewood,  chemicals kept beneath the place exploded due to the heavy pressure. The four injured persons, Abdul, Abbu, Adil and Narasamma, were shifted to a nearby hospital. Their condition is stated to be stable, said inspector P sattaiah. 

Soon after the explosion, police rushed to the spot along with CLUES teams and took up search operation, suspecting a bomb blast.
