PUDUCHERRY: CPI national council member R Viswanathan on Sunday urged the government to form an expert committee to study the functioning of the state’s undertakings and corporations.Vishwanathan told journalists here that corruption, mismanagement and administrative lapses were the reasons why these state-run bodies were suffering losses. According to him, such a study by a government panel would help the administration run these undertakings in a profitable manner.The CPI leader also demanded an immediate of rollback of the recent petrol price hike. The former minister charged that through this hike, the Congress-led UPA government has further burdened the common man as this would have a cascading effect and fuel further rise in prices.
