BANGALORE: The Regional Forest office, Yelahanka, along with the BBMP Forest Cell, seized two pythons, three cobras and three rat snakes at a snake show held at Yelahanka on Friday.The three accused arrested in this connection have been handed over to the city civil court by Yelahanka Forest Office. According to an official from the BBMP Forest Cell, of the three arrested two are from Erode (Tamil Nadu) and one is from Bangalore. “We have handed over the accused to the city civil court on grounds of violating the 1972 Wildlife Protection Act,” the official gave details.“After receiving a call from a student, we informed the Bangalore Urban forester.The two pythons are more than six feet long. We are providing treatment for the pythons and the snakes. Very soon they will be shifted to Bannerghatta Biological Park,” he added.
