BANGALORE: Global Art India and Sip academy successfully organised the first regional competition ‘Kolor Champ 2011.’ Almost 500 children in the age group between five to fifteen years from Bangalore participated in the event.The theme for the competition was ‘1 world’.The theme was interpreted as unity among people and nations wherein all work together towards peace and harmony. This proved to be a provoking theme for all the young participants who are the future citizens of this planet. The pictures put together vividly expressed the imagination and ideas of the children. The competition proved a rather tough one.Global Art India has earned the unique distinction from the Limca Book of Records for conducting Kolor Champ 2010—a children’s painting competition with participants from most countries.This will feature in the paintings chapter of the 2012 edition of Limca Book of Records, which will be out in January 2012.The chief guest Dinesh Victor, MD SIP Academy India, declared the competition open and stressed on the importance of art and creativity for the overall development of the children.
