New Delhi: The Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) got off to a somber start on Tuesday with few big stars walking the ramp and fewer buyers.
The first show was designer Vikram Phadnis’ which had Bollywood actresses Minissha Lamba and Parizaad Zorabian walking the ramp.
But designers and delegates were disappointed that there were hardly any major international buyers at the event and complained that there was no conducive environment for good business.
At the event that’s on till March 31, 49 designers are showcasing their collections including international fashion houses like Sisley, Giovanni Cavagna and French Connection UK (FCUK).
