Faridabad: Panchayat awards Rs 50,000 fine, thrashing to 2 men for allegedly raping minor

Faridabad: In a shocking incident in Faridabad, a panchayat awarded Rs 50,000 fine and thrashing to two men for allegedly gangraping a minor girl.

The girl had gone to her neighbours house to fill water when she was allegedly gangraped.

The mother of the gangrape suvivor said, "We want justice. The culprits should be punished."

The father of the girl was dissatisfied with the panchayat's decision and said, "We want justice. A fine of Rs 50,000 will not deter culprits from committing such crimes."

The police have now lodged a complaint and are on the lookout for the accused.
