Police seized about 4,000 fake T-shirts and arrested two garment manufacturers from Tirupur for allegedly producing fake international brand T-shirts, on Tuesday night.
The culprits were caught red handed after a surprise check conducted by the police on Tuesday night at two garment manufacturing units at Palayakkadu and Chettipalayam. The police found fake branded ‘US Polo’ T-shirts. After seizing about 4,000 T-shirts worth several lakhs of rupees from both the units, police arrested the owners Viswanathan (29), of Uttukuli, and Kandhasamy (46), of Palladam.
Tirupur police registered a case against them and the team launched a search for the other aides.
