Doha: Asian Games organisers rounded on shooter Rajyavardhan Rathore on Tuesday, demanding an apology for "rude comments" about volunteers and officials.
Indian shooters were upset after Olympic double trap silver medallist Rathore was gruffly asked to move aside by security officials at the Games village last Thursday.
The incident prompted India's coach to say some of the shooting officials did not know how to behave and that they could do with a lesson in courtesy.
Doha organisers (DAGOC) fired off a volley of their own on Tuesday, filing a letter of protest to India's National Olympic Committee concerning Rathore's conduct at the range.
DAGOC said Rathore had tried to make an unscheduled training session at the Lusail Shooting Complex, which was against Olympic Council of Asia rules.
"His offensive behaviour, and the rude comments against volunteers and officials which followed, are very unsportsmanlike and totally not acceptable," DAGOC said in a statement.
"The claims about our volunteers and paid staff are serious accusations and DAGOC reserves its right to take legal action."
Rathore won bronze in the men's double trap and silver in the double trap team events at the December 1-15 Games.
