New Delhi: The recent controversy involving the Indian external Intelligence Agency, RAW and the Karachi-based political party, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), is nothing but ISI propaganda aimed at maligning RAW image, government sources said.

Top intelligence sources have told CNN-IBN that right after this report, the head of London Metropolitan Police Allen Crockford has clarified that no such confession has taken place, neither are there any documents to back such a story.

This has effectively punctured the Pakistani propaganda as being based on a fabricated document.

Intelligence sources also said that the Pakistan spy agency ISI had resorted to similar dirty tactics in the aftermath of the Peshawar attack in December, 2014 which later proved to be utterly false.

A report had suggested that the MQM member reportedly told the British police that the party's leadership held meetings with RAW officials in Rome, Vienna, Zurich, Salzburg and Prague and even sought 1.5 million dollars in assistance.
