Delhi Metro on Monday promised to remove an offending advertisement mounted on billboards showing a nude woman covered only by duct tape.

Delhi Metro on Monday promised to remove an offending advertisement mounted on billboards showing a nude woman covered only by duct tape.

A Metro official told one of the journalists, who had complained about the advertisement, that they were ready to act against it.

"The advertisement will be removed from the Rajiv Chowk, Kashmere Gate and wherever it is displayed," he said. "We agree it is vulgar."

The issue cropped up after four journalists on Sunday lodged a protest with Delhi Metro at the Rajiv Chowk station.

Akansha Kumari, one of the four, told news agencies: "What does this advertisement mean? That women are on sale?"

What's your reaction?
