HYDERABAD: Before the commencement of the winter session of Assembly on December 2, speaker Nadendla Manohar is expected to action as many as 80 resignations of MLAs pending with him. The process on MLAs resignations is likely to begin next week.It may be recalled that on July 23, the speaker rejected all the 100 resignations submitted by the MLAs for the Telangana cause on the grounds they took the extreme step in an emotionally surcharged state.Later, 26 Jagan loyalist MLAs, including two TDP rebels, quit their posts in protest against inclusion of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s name in the FIR filed by the CBI in Jagan’s illegal assets case. Two Congress MLAs loyal to Jagan also resigned for the T cause.Secunderabad MLA Jayasudha, who is loyal to Jagan, had refused to submit her resignation afresh by claiming that her earlier resignation is still pending with the speaker.Three Telangana Congress MLAs, including a nominated member, also resigned recently to join the TRS. In all, 32 Telangana TDP legislators and four TDP rebels also submitted their resignations for the T cause. TDP legislator Gampa Goverdhan quit the post to join the TRS.Soon after the rejection of all the MLAs by the speaker, 11 TRS MLAs faxed their resignations to him. No action has been taken so far on the resignations submitted on July 23.It is learnt that the speaker wants to bring clarity on the MLAs’ resignations before the commencement of Assembly session. He had already held hearing on the disqualification petition against rebel TDP MLA N Prasanna Kumar Reddy. He served notices on rebel Congress MLAs K Srikant Reddy, C Adinarayana Reddy, A Amarnath Reddy and K Surekha against whom disqualification petitions were filed by the Congress Legislature Party. He also summoned some of the MLAs to hear their versions. He reserved his judgement pertaining to rebel TDP MLAs N Janardhan Reddy, S Venugopala Chary, K Harishwar Reddy and J Ramanna after hearing their versions.
