London: Some may call it a fixation, but love for Indian foods knows no boundaries - an ace Bangladeshi cricketer has spent 4,000 pounds to fly in food and cooks from his favourite Indian curry house in Britain to Dubai.

Test player Habibul Bashar shelled out to jet chefs from Amish Indian Restaurant in Chobham 3,000 miles to cook at his 37th birthday party on Monday in Dubai, British tabloid The Sun reported.

The batsman loved their chicken, lamb and vegetable dishes when he was in England for the World Twenty20 Cup this summer. His bumper birthday order, including flights, has cost 4,270 pounds, the report said.

"He took our card and said he'd be in touch. It's nice he thought that much of our food," the restaurant manager Amin Ali was quoted as saying.
