Congress take on Modi government over Land Bill: As it happened

After his two-month long sabbatical, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will lead a mega farmers rally against the Land Acquisition Bill at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. The Congress has been opposing changes in the original legislation on land acquisition brought by the UPA government in 2013. Congress is protesting the dilution of the original consent clause which makes it mandatory to secure 80 percent approval of those dependent on the land being procured, as well as doing away with the Social Impact Assessment study.
