New Delhi: Cold wave has gripped North India claiming more lives and disrupting flight and train schedule. In Uttar Pradesh, where temperature touched a low of 2 degrees Celsius, five more people have died taking the toll to 11 in just three days, while Punjab shivered with a low of 2.8 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
Chapra remained the coldest place in Bihar with a minimum temperature of 6.2 degree celsius, while Patna, Gaya and Muzaffarpur recorded minimum temperature at 7.7, 6.7 and 9.1 degree Celsius.
Minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 7.7 degree Celsius with fog affecting trains and flights. Ten trains have been cancelled while more than 150 trains have been delayed. At the Indira Gandhi International Airport, dense fog has forced cancellation of 17 flights, and delayed 120 flights, while 18 flights were diverted to other airports.
