Coalgate: Government creating wrong impressions of our demands, CBI tells SC
"In the coal scam case an impression has been sought to be created that CBI want to appropriate policy making function. It is not the intention of the agency to go outside the preview of executive control," CBI told the top court.

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has told the Supreme Court that its request for enhanced powers was made to help formulate effective policies and that the agency had in no way wanted to give the impression that it was unhappy with the government.

The investigative agency also accused the government of creating wrong impression over the issue.

"In the coal scam case an impression has been sought to be created that CBI want to appropriate policy making function. It is not the intention of the agency to go outside the preview of executive control," CBI told the top court.
