THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that he did not think anyone in the state would believe that Kerala Congress leader and former Minister R Balakrishna Pillai had committed any corruption. After releasing the second edition of Pillai’s autobiography, published by the DC Books here on Wednesday, Chandy said that Pillai was a victim of politics of revenge.Chandy said that he was always afraid of being involved in controversies, but Balakrishan Pillai had a special liking for creating controversies. “Pillai is a sibling of controversies. When he invited me for the book release, I became a little bit tensed. I don’t know whether my decision to attend the function would become a headache,” he said. He saidthat nobody could prevent Pillai from becoming a centre of attraction in Kerala politics.He released the book by handing over a copy to veteran cine actor Madhu.Presiding over the function, former additional chief secretary D Babu Paul said that Balakrishna Pillai was a leader, who attained leadership qualities from a very young age.
