CM gives support for MSMEs

Follow us:WhatsappFacebookTwitterTelegram.cls-1{fill:#4d4d4d;}.cls-2{fill:#fff;}Google NewsChief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday allocated  Rs 6.53 crore for setting up common facility centres for three clusters under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises - Cluster Development Programme (MSME-CDP) being implemented jointly by the Central government and State government and towards setting up of a training complex within the Entrepreneur Development Institute (EDI).The CM has allocated Rs 1.65 crore as first instalment of the State government’s 70 per cent share for setting up Common Facility Centres (CFCs)  for the two engineering clusters at Hosur and Ranipet and the rice mill cluster at Keezhapavoor in Tirunelveli district.Similarly, Rs 4.88 crore would be spent on setting up a training complex within the EDI, to provide suitable training to the entrepreneurs.  It would have classrooms, auditorium, library, computer centre, hostel etc. Of the total allocation, `3.80 crore would be spent on constructing academic and administrative block while `1.08 crore would be spent for building  hostel block.first published:August 19, 2012, 08:41 ISTlast updated:August 19, 2012, 08:41 IST
