Kashmir: In Jammu and Kashmir an FIR has been registered against army personnel in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir after a bullet-riddled body of a bakery owner Riaz Ahmed was found.
Relatives of the victim allege that the army had picked up 22-year-old Riaz earlier in the morning for interrogation and later returned his body.
The army has dismissed the allegations saying that he was killed in crossfire.
The incident has incensed the Muslims in the area who have taken to streets to protest against the matter.
They claim that the soldiers might have killed Riaz mistaking him for a terrorist.
The state government has set up a team headed by the deputy superintendent of police to probe into the incident.
