BANGALORE:  A Kerala court on Thursday held suspected LeT militant Thadiyantavide Naseer guilty of offences in the March 3, 2006 twin blasts case in Kozhikode.Naseer is the main accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blast case and has links with the People’s Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani, who is presently lodged in jail, in connection with the 1998 Coimbatore bomb blasts.Joint Commissioner (Crime) Alok Kumar told The New Indian Express that a Special Court has already started hearing the case of the Bangalore serial blasts. “We have collected evidences and done appropriate investigation. The court hearing has started and the framing of charges is to be done. Because of various technical reasons, the hearing is bit late,” he added.Naseer, a Keralite, is an an associate of top Indian Mujahideen commander Riyaz Bhatkal. Based on Naseer’s confession, the police linked him to Madani and his wife Sufia, in the case of burning of a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus, at Kalamasserry in Kochi in September 2005.Naseer, according to the police, took the help of Madani in the serial blasts in Bangalore. According to the instructions from Madani, Naseer went to Madani’s office at Anvarssery and took  shelter. Naseer and other accused, along with Madani, reportedly assembled at Madani’s office and conducted Jihadi activities.After a recce of Bangalore, Naseer reportedly met Madani, at his rented residence in Ernakulam and discussed the plan of the proposed blast in Bangalore in June 2008.Naseer and his aide were arrested by the Bangladesh Rifles in 2009 end and they were handed over to the Meghalaya police. Bangalore police then took the duo into their custody.
