BANGALORE: The sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officially took over the investigation of the sensational murder case of Dell employee Payal Surekha on Wednesday. The CBI sleuths collected the documents of the court order of re-investigation from the 5th ACMM office on Wednesday along with documents related to the complainant. Advocate of the complainant M R Nanjunda Gowda said that the court has ordered the J P Nagar police to handover the necessary documents to the CBI including the charge-sheet filed against the accused and other details on or before August 16. According to him, the investigation of the J P Nagar police is partial and incomplete. The CBI investigation, if did completely, the actual accused would also be arrested, he observed. It may be mentioned that the murder case of 29-year-old Dell employee Payal Surekha was given to CBI for investigation by the 5th ACMM on Tuesday. It may be recalled here that Payal was found murdered in her apartment in J P Nagar in last December and the police who investigated the case managed to arrest, James Kumar Roy, business partner of her husband in this connection.Though police claim that it was a revenge murder , Payal’s father Dindayal doubted the behaviour of Ananth Narayana Mishra, husband of Payal, who runs a gym in the city. Mishra has influential parents Rudra Narayana Mishra, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police from Orissa and Basanthi Devi Narayana Mishra, a retired DCP from Orissa. In his petition, Dindayal had alleged that the local police have done a partial investigation despite a lot of incriminating evidence pointed towards Ananth’s involvement.
