HYDERABAD: The Central Bureau of Investigation is all set to launch a full-fledged probe into the alleged illegal assets belonging to Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after it registered an FIR in this connection and the Emaar case on Wednesday.The investigative agency also sought permission from a special CBI Court to carry out searches in the offices belonging to Jagan and the Emaar group. The searches are likely to commence in the next couple of days. The CBI joint director VV Lakshminarayana met the magistrate of the special CBI Court, Nampally and briefed him about the probe in both cases. Simultaneously, CBI filed a petition CBI seeking permission to carry out the raids reportedly in around 30 premises. Due to the magnitude of both the cases, two teams of CBI officials from Bangalore and Visakhapatnam have also been roped in to assist Lakshminarayana. Members of both the teams arrived in Hyderabad on Wednesday and are said to be camping in Dilkusha guest house.On Tuesday, the CBI joint director had flown to Delhi to meet senior officers to brief CBI director AP Singh among other officers and gotten their nod to go ahead with the registration of FIR against Jagan.Sources said that Lakshminarayana held series of meetings with all his officers and also officials from the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax departments and reportedly briefed them on how to go ahead with the probe. Efforts to reach CBI officials proved futile.
