Cases booked against NGO directors

PUDUCHERRY: SSP (Law and Order) B Srikanth on Friday said cases under various sections,  criminal intimidation, cheating, have been filed against the directors of the NGO, Sojahur-India (Society for Social Justice and Human Resource Development).Addressing the reporters, he said cases have been filed under sections 420, 509 and 506 (1) against the directors of the NGO, which has allegedly cheated and threatened four Netherlands University students.The students -  Zeynep Akyuz, Esther Dirix, Lisbeth Pinckaers and Joyce van de Meulen - from the Zuyd University, Netherlands, had complained to the police on Thursday that the NGO had threatened and harassed them and did not help them complete for their internship and project work as part of the their University degree course.Instead, the students charged that NGOs had demanded 800 Euro (from each of them) to be given to them and alleged that they were threatened that they would not be allowed to take their belongings and would have to leave from the stay home.
