Burglars flee to Jharkhand

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police team investigating the burglary at a jewellery in Balaramapuram has collected evidence which suggests that the rest of the gang members have escaped to Jharkhand. The police team, on Monday, had nabbed three men, one hailing from Bihar and the other two from Jharkhand, in connection with the case. But it is learnt that the news of the arrest had made the culprits go into hiding after they reached Jharkhand. According to a policeman who is part of the investigating team, the three men arrested were actually left behind by the escaped gang to collect details of the police investigation.  Meanwhile, allegations are pouring in against the investigation. It is being alleged that the police have nabbed wrong people in the case. But the police have refuted the charges.
