Jammu: An unidentified infiltrator was killed by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel after Pakistan again violated ceasefire along the International Border (IB) in Ranbir Singh Pura sector late on Thursday night, about 30 km from Jammu, official sources said.

Pakistani troops reportedly fired small arms from across the border at Mangral border outpost of Indian territory in Ranbir Singh Pura sector.

''Small arms ammunition were fired from across the border at Mangral Post in RS Pura Sector late tonight,'' sources said.

BSF troops killed an unidentified infiltrator who was trying to sneak into the Indian territory taking cover of the firing from across the border, the sources added.

''The intermittent firing from across the border was continuing till last reports received,'' they added.

According to the intelligence sources, '' about 50-60 militants are waiting at various launch pads on the other side of the IB to infiltrate into the Indian territory.

Earlier, Pakistan forces violated ceasefire, when bullets were fired at Nikowal Post in Pargwal Sub-Sector of Khour in tehsil Akhnoor on September 18 in which three BSF personnel were injured.
