Police also recovered the stolen jewels from the robbers. Last month, the robbers got bail and were out of the jail. The case is going on in the Parangipettai court,” he said.On Wednesday night, hundreds of people gathered in front of the village panchayat office with garlands and shawls to receive them. The residents of the village said they were glad that Chief Minister Jayalalithaa chose “the right persons” for the award.“We are all proud that the two women of our village received the award for bravery from the CM. They set a good example for all the women in our country. We also thank Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for choosing them for the award – in a way the Chief Minister has honoured our entire village,” panchayat president Mahadevan said.Rajamansingh, a resident of the village, said, “Two women fought against the robbers, who were stronger.
