VIZIANAGARAM: Ending speculation, Bobbili MLA RV Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao has resigned to the Congress Party and also to the Assembly membership on Wednesday.He also announced his decision to join the YSR Congress party shortly.Addressing a huge gathering of his supporters in Bobbili on Wednesday, Ranga Rao said that he is vexed with the attitude of PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana who has been allegedly suppressing any Congress leader whom he perceives as a threat.“Satyanarayana and his family members were hugely benefited due to the support of former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.But these benefits were easily forgotten and the former chief minister’s son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is being targeted unnecessarily for political mileage,” he said.Ranga Rao said that in the recent years, the Congress party has lost people’s faith and several Congress leaders and activists were joining YSR Congress party.He stated that the Congress came to power twice only due to the efforts of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.“But now, those who have benefited from the YSR family, have abandoned them,” he pointed out.Large number of activists and leaders attended the meeting from Bobbili municipality, Gollalapalem, Terlam, Badangi and Ramabhadrapuram.Already, several Congress party leaders from village and mandal level in Bobbili assembly constituency submitted their resignations to the District Congress Committee.Former municipal chairperson RVSKK Ranga Rao alias Baby Nayana, former vicechairman G Vijaya Lakshmi, former municipal councillors and others were present.
