BJP calls for probe into mail hacking

PALAKKAD: A probe should be conducted to unearth the roots of the suspended official in the email snooping case, Biju Salaam, in the wake of reports claiming that he had relations with extremist elements,said BJP state president V Muralidharan. He was speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the one day state-level workshop for Municipal and Corporation councillors here on Saturday. Muralidharan said that now the Muslim League was not averse to ordering a CBI enquiry into the Marad massacre, the Chief Minister and the KPCC president should make clear their stance on the issue since the Central and State Governments were ruled by the Congress. On the S-band issue, the BJP state president said the scam had occurred when Congress minister Prithiviraj Chauhan was in charge of the portfolio of science and technology. Both the Prime Minister and the Congress leadership was now exonerating the political leadership and making the scientists a scapegoat.  Later, the BJP state president V Muralidharan delivered the introductory address at the one-day workshop for Municipal and Corporation councillors here on Saturday. State trainer and cell convener Advocate Ravikumar Uppath presided over the meet.
