Th e State Government is organising a state level photography competition as part of its initiative to spread awareness about biodiversity, coinciding with the 11th Conference of Parties on Biodiversity to be held in Hyderabad from October 1 to 9. Photography enthusiasts can submit their entries on the 11 themes centered around showcasing
various aspects of biodiversity, its impact, challenges and conservation. The themes incude, landscapes, water bodies, hills and mountains, wild life, birds, aquatic life, macro in nature, symbiotic relationship between flora and fauna, human beings and environment, things hampering biodiversity and Conservation of biodiversity
The entries should be handed over in person or sent by regd. post to nodal officer, Conference on Biodiversity, (Deputy Director - Publications), Information and Public Relations Department, II Floor, Samachar Bhavan, AC Guards, Masab Tank, before September 15. Winners of the contest will receive a cash prizes, from Rs 25,000 to Rs 10,000. Entries
should be of minimum 8’x12’ or maximum 12’x15’ size in colour and an original digital frame of the picture should be through DVD, along with a print. Each participant may send a maximum of four entries per theme and should write in detail the photographer’s name, address, mobile/telephone number, category, and title/caption on the back side of each entry. Digital mixing, enhancing or computer mixing of photos are not eligible for competition and also photos exhibited previously in any competition will not be accepted.
