BANGALORE: Two bike-borne miscreants allegedly robbed two employees of Shamarao Vithal Cooperative Bank of Rs. 25 lakh in Yeshwanthpur police station limits on Wednesday afternoon.The victims have been identified as Madhukar and Manjegowda, clerk and peon at bank. According to police, they were robbed while going to deposit the money in Vijaya Bank, a nationalised bank at Yeshwanthpur, 2.5 km away from the bank. The two miscreants followed them on a bike and snatched the cash bag. The police also suspect the behaviour of the complainants as one of them claimed that they had gone to deposit the money by an auto rickshaw and the other claimed that they had gone walking. They also did not note down the registration number of the bike which was used by the robbers.The victims stated that the incident took place near Dharmaraja Swamy Temple on Pipe Lane Road. No appropriate security measures were taken by the them while carrying the cash, the police said. Yeshwanthpur police are investigating the case.
