Bangalore cops fully geared for Jayas security

BANGALORE: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa would be provided necessary security when she appears in a court here in the disproportionate assets case, city police said today."Jayalalithaa has 'Z' category security. We are fully prepared to provide security to her. All arrangements will be made once we hear from Tamil Nadu authorities about her visit to the city," City Police Commissioner Jyoti Prakash Mirji told reporters here.The Supreme Court recently directed Jayalalithaa to appear before the special court, which is hearing the disproportionate asset case, on October 20.The apex court had turned down Jayalalithaa's plea seeking exemption from personal appearance for recording her statement under Section 313 of the CrPC.She had sought exemption on grounds of security threat.
