Assam boy in international musical talent finals
Joshua is one of the four finalists in Singapore's Sutasi music competition.

New Delhi: Joshua Queha, a 25-year-old Assamese has made it to the finals of Singapore's Sutasi International Competition.

He is one of the four finalists in the soloist category from South Asia and is all set to travel to LA for the Grand Finale this August.

Joshua credits his achievement to his home state.

Joshua says, “Music is in the air in Assam. Everybody is a Guitar player. There are good singers in Assam and in the northeast.

And it is in Guwahati that he started his career as a vocalist for a band called Uphonik Tranze. And having won many regional and national competitions, Joshua eventually moved on to join another band – Casino Blue. This group is known to have opened for international bands like Mega Death and Machine Head

However, Joshua has bigger plans in mind.

Joshua says, “I want to take Assam to the world. I am one Joshua there are millions of Joshuas here.”

From winning inter university competitions to making a mark on the international front, this Joshua has sure come a long way!
