New Delhi: Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh is cracking the whip on overweight and unfit Army personnel. In two months time, new fitness proficiency requirements will make it necessary for the offices upto the age of 55 to pass regular tests.
The Army personnel will have to run over two kilometres, complete a 100 metres sprint in addition to chin ups and pushups.
The new combat tests will also have 20 km endurance marches and obstacle clearing courses.
