HYDERABAD: The State Road Transport Corporation will operate 14 special buses to the Idgah from various parts of the city from November 7. RTC executive director Purushotham Naik said in a statement here on Saturday that the special buses would be run from Pahadi Shareef, Charminar, Koti, Mehdipatnam, Ramnagar, Sanatnagar and Secunderabad from 6 am.He said they planned to operate maximum number of buses so as to reach Idgah before 8 am.The destination boards would be displayed at the front of the buses which will be run in addition to the regular services.Traffic supervisors will be posted at the Idgah, Mir Alam Tank and Charminar bus stations.The bus pass counters in Hyderabad and Secunderabad will be closed on November 7.Naik inaugurated an reverse osmosis water plant at the Uppal bus depot.Speaking on the occasion, he said `4 crore was spent on construction of the water plant to provide purified water to all employees working in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.Hyderabad regional manager N Venakateswara Rao, divisional manager D Vijaya Bhanu, executive engineer DSN Raju and Uppal depot manager Muralidhar Gowd were present.
