Parents of a tenth class girl along with activists of student organisations ransacked furniture at the Urdu medium municipal school here Kadapa on Saturday, accusing the school ’ s mathemat ics teacher of misbehaving with the girl at the school on Friday.
Later, they lodged a complaint against the school teacher with the police.
According to the girl’s family members, the teacher, Karimulla, on Friday afternoon asked the girl to help him carry some papers to his room.
After putting the papers in the shelves, Karimulla allegedly misbehaved with the girl.
Somehow, she escaped from him and ran out of the room.
Seeing the girl crying, her classmates enquired about the incident and the girl poured out everything to them and later she complained to her parents.
The girl’s parents and relatives along with activists of students organisations came to the school looking for the accused teacher.
When they found that he had not come to the school, the angry family members broke the furniture in the headmaster’s office room.
Later, they staged a dharna on the road, disrupting the traffic, demanding action against the Karimulla.
The police rushed to the school and a heated argument ensued between the girl’s kin and the police led by Kadapa urban inspector Nageswar Reddy when the police tried to stop them from damaging the furniture.
Kadapa municipal commissioner Samuel Johnson rushed to the spot and ordered an inquiry to the incident.
He assured the girl’s family members to take severe action against the teacher if he was found guilty
